Ellen Ochoa Middle School Opens!

This week, the newest Prince George’s County Public Schools Middle School opened. Ellen Ochoa Middle School was designed by Grimm + Parker Architects and built by MCN Build. ADTEK provided civil site design for the beautiful school campus in Landover Hills.

The school is named in honor of Ellen Ochoa, who, in 1993, became the first Latina woman to go to space when she served on a nine-day mission aboard the Space Shuttle Discovery.  She later served as the first Latina director and the second female director of Johnson Space Center.
