In July 2017, Frederick County Public Schools solicited services for a feasibility study of Waverley Elementary School to determine “next steps” in the modernization/addition/replacement of the school. ADTEK provided civil and structural engineering services for the study which was completed in April 2018.

Upon completion of the feasibility study, ADTEK provided civil design services to demolish the old Rock Creek building and replace it with the new Waverley ES in its place, allowing the existing Waverley ES to continue to operate during the construction process. The 131,000-sf, two-story building can accommodate up to 1,000 students. The building includes a gym that features a rock-climbing wall, a robotics lab, and a parent resource room.
